It's painful to edit H.265 files in Avid Media Composer , which format should I use?
"Hi all, I have an old PC. Avid Media Composer has difficulty to use H.265 video files on it. So I converted the H.265 video into H.264 MOV format so the format that I did convert it to works. However, it's still painful to edit with the choppy video. I was wondering if converting to another format would be better off? Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks.”
H.265 is a difficult codec for some computers. If your conversion software can output DNxHD that is a much better choice to edit with. If your converter app doesn't include DNxHD export option, you can give HD Converter a try. It runs on both Windows and Mac machines. Learn how it works.
